Classical Homeopathy is a system of healing that
stimulates the body’s innate ability to restore mental,
emotional, and physical well being. It is a very
individualized approach to health and disease, treating each
person as a whole. Classical Homeopathy is based on the
premise that disease is a process that affects the whole
person. Conventional medicine treats individual symptoms of
the disease which is only a part of the whole. Homeopathic
medicines (called remedies) are taken in small, non toxic
doses to treat the person rather than the symptoms or
disease. The symptoms of a disease will lead to the correct
remedy for each person. The basic idea is that homeopathic
remedies stimulate the body’s own natural healing processes,
causing a gentle and safe restoration to health. The disease
resolves naturally as the person recovers their health.

Who uses homeopathy?
Homeopathy is effective in treating a wide range of
ailments: long-term chronic conditions or traumas and acute
infections. Chronic conditions may include: hormonal issues,
digestive problems, migraines, asthma, allergies, stress,
anxiety, and depression. Homeopathy is useful for childhood
ailments such as: chronic ear infections, hyperactivity, bed
wetting, teething, and sleep issues. Traumas could include:
sprains, strained muscles, bruising, bee stings, insect
bites, burns, sunburn, wounds, first aid, before or after
surgery. Acute situations could be: coughs, colds, fever,
flu, sinus infections, sore throat.
How does it work?
Homeopathic medicines are prescribed in minute
homeopathic doses called “remedies”. This small dosage makes
these substances safe and effective. Remedies are made from
plant, animal, and mineral substances. They are prepared in
a scientific process of diluting and shaking called “potentizing”,
making them stronger. Most remedies are administered as
pellets or liquid. It is important to note that it is not
the process of making the remedy that makes it homeopathic.
When the prescription is made on the basis of the similarity
of symptoms between the remedy and the patient as a whole
person, it becomes homeopathic.
